Yes. Marriage is more equated to commitments, whereas love doesn’t necessarily have any, unless is the romantic kind of love.
we believe that love the foundational attribute in marriage and without love, marriage cannot stand.
marriage can never be equated to love. without love there can never be marriage.
Love is quite greater than marriage because we’re expected to show love to people irrespective of their positions in our lives. We need not be married to anybody before we can show love.
You must understand in the first place that marriage and love are two different concepts or subjects. Marriage is contracted when the union two individuals is legally or formally recognized, while love is best explained as taking actions that positively impacts the life of another individual. You don’t need to be married before you can contribute positively to the life of another human. Love is much greater than marriage because it’s mostly needed even for a marriage to become successful.
we know that Marriage is an institution, how can love that is just fruit/attribute be greater than an institution which has different ingredient used to built it like commitment, patience, endurance, understanding, etc.
You would greatly be mistaken to say that love is the fruit of marriage. If you really understand what love is, then you will realize that it is love that makes commitment, patience, endurance, understanding possible. The problem may be that you think too little of love, or being carried away by how that word is used.
Basically, you can’t separate Marriage from Love and vice versa. They both are complimentary! However, Marriage is an institution established by God. Scripturally, speaking God is Love. So you can see the importance of both!
Marriage is a union between two hearts who unconditionally love each other. Therefore, marriage should naturally mean love.
The state of marriage has been unfortunately manipulated by alot of ideologies. People get married to people they don’t love but because of money, social status and pressure. And that is why alot of people see marriage as a bondage and not a blessing.
Marriage 💑 in love is a blessing.
I love your answer, but what I’m saying is that, love can’t take 100% in marriage…there are other good ingredients/ attributes that makes marriage stand.
According to the Bible, the greatest commandment is love. So it is without doubt that love is greater considering times such as this when some parents force children who are not even of age into marriage cos of reasons best known to them, some people get married cos of financial or social status, and marriage that’s supposed to be based on love is now based on something else.
