I see the home as a ship where different people play different roles.
Yes, some roles may be assigned according to gender but there really is no right or wrong to this, unless I see some kind of stereotyping.
I believe all hands should be on deck, irregardless of gender. Some homes have just one gender, what then becomes of sharing specific roles? Everyone should perform as they’re graced and enabled to.
In a general sense, each gender should play specific roles. In any case, God has more or less defined each person’s role by making one person a man and the other a woman.
But the boundaries should be made rather flexible to allow either party the freedom to cross the line and assist from time to time. There is no shame or insult whatsoever if the man in the house assist in the kitchen by washing plates. Running a peaceful and happy home requires understanding, sacrifice and cooperation of both genders. You cannot clap with one hand. Clapping requires both hands.
in a family where there is proper understanding and love , there will be no need for gender roles, even as a woman you already knows that you have to cook for your family but a husband also can help in the cooking. Marriage is meant for two, so all hands are supposed to be on deck in other to help in building each other, watching each other’s back and building a proper and peaceful home
The Truth is that… A woman’s roll is still very clear, so lets not replace the role of a woman and girls in the home compared to the guys and boys… Its a global truth…

I believe the most important thing in a home is understanding. And who is going to play a specific role won’t be an issue
